James Cornell

James Cornell is co-founder and Managing Partner of Fiduciary Wealth Partners, a private multi-family office based in Boston, serving the investment advisory and strategic consulting needs of large private businesses and family offices across the U.S..

Mr. Cornell was elected in November 2017 as Chairman of the YPO Family Office Principal’s Group, a privately elected group of 100 Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) members who are responsible for the management, operations and investments for their own family offices.

Mr. Cornell is also the Boston Chair of Tiger 21, a private peer-to-peer investment network for UHNW individuals and family offices. Tiger 21 has almost 600 members across the U.S. who meet every month to discuss their portfolios representing over $40 billion in investable assets.

Prior to co-founding Fiduciary Wealth Partners, Mr. Cornell served as President of Fidelity’s Private Wealth Management Group and Fidelity Personal Trust Company.

Mr. Cornell is a 7th generation owner of Cornell Enterprises, Inc., a privately held family business founded in New York City in 1828.

Mr. Cornell received a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School.
