Gregg Solomon is a Managing Director and co-founder of Touchstone Group, LLC. In this role he sources new private equity fund managers as clients, and raises fund commitments from institutional limited partners on behalf of Touchstone’s clients. Mr. Solomon has been involved with the private equity industry for 30 years, including nearly 10 years on the buy side at Prudential, in Newark, New Jersey. He is a registered representative and has his Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
Prior to co-founding Touchstone in 2002, Mr. Solomon was a Managing Director for Thomas Capital, a Director for PaineWebber, a Vice President for Societe Generale, and a Vice President for Prudential Financial. At Thomas Capital and Paine Webber, Mr. Solomon helped raise a number of private equity and venture capital funds. At PaineWebber and Societe Generale, he helped raise private equity capital for companies. At Prudential, Mr. Solomon invested up and down capital structures and helped manage a $5 billion portfolio of primary fund investments and direct LBO co-investments in senior debt, subordinated debt and equity securities.
Mr. Solomon graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and received an MBA from The Wharton School. He is an active member of alumni organizations for both Cal and Wharton. He is a CFA charter holder, and has passed the CPA exam.
